bring it on home TOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does scheduling for the show work?
If your offer is accepted we will send you an email with the date that we would be coming to your town. That's why it's important for you to make sure you list dates you absolutely can't host a show!
what nights of the week will the shows be on?
Most shows will be on weekends with the occasional weeknight show!
does my space need to be equipped with anything special for the show?
We aim to be low maintenance on this tour, but thanks for asking! Here's what we absolutely need:
-Grounded power outlet within 25 ft. of the area where I'll be playing. Depending on the room, I may bring a small PA system and a few other things that may require power.
-You'll want to make sure you have enough space for me to play and your guests to sit or stand!
-If the space is outside or in an non-heated area I'd love to have a heater nearby!
can i charge a cover charge at the door to help cover the cost?
Go for it!
will random people be told about the show and come to my house?
No! This will be an experience where you control the invitation list. We will be keeping all locations top secret.
what’s the cost of the show?
There is no set price! That’s totally up to you. I am only doing a handful of shows, so we are looking for the best offers out there. Remember, 100% of the proceeds of this tour will go to support our adoption!
Does this show have to be at a house or...
No! I'm open to playing in all kinds of spaces unless it's super creepy, extremely cold, smells awful, etc. You can host the show at your house, church, frat house, sorority house, cub scout den, man cave, she shed, local roller skating rink...need I go on?
Why are you doing this?
Because playing these intimate shows is my favorite way to share my music with you AND 100% of the proceeds will help my wife and I bring a little one on home to our house!
do you have any new songs?
Yes. I’m very excited to share new songs with you!
what will be the format for the show?
All the shows will start promptly at 7pm. I'll play for an hour or so and tell stories about where the songs came from. I'll take requests of my songs you especially want to hear or that may be particularly special to someone at the show. We can have some Q&A time if you want to know anything about Rayna James, what it's like to write songs for a living, which restaurant serves the best hot chicken in Nashville, or any other questions you may have about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. Disclaimer: I cannot tell your kids where babies come from.
will you sing happy birthday?
Absolutely. At my wife's birthday party we sang it 8 times in the course of 2 hours. It's really a great song.
